At CCM, an initial examination will be performed on every patient to assess the general function of the nervous system. After taking a case history, the doctor will assess motor, sensory, and reflex functions. The initial exam will also include tests to evaluate general cognition, balance, coordination and eye tracking. Orthopedic testing will assess function of the neck and back. Depending on the neurological and orthopedic exam findings, further assessment may be required to determine the full nature and spectrum of deficits resulting from an injury.
